Gibson Publishing offers a range of services to ensure that after your book is published you will continue to receive follow-up advice and guidance. We don’t just ‘wave goodbye’ to you when you’ve received your published book, but pride ourselves on our client-aftercare and establishing an ongoing relationship with you.

In order for you to sell your books most profitably, one of our marketing experts will be on hand to help you create a personalised marketing strategy. This will include writing a press release about your book for the appropriate publications: providing you with editorial opportunities that may be relevant to your book: advising you on which areas of the media to target, helping you to reach different audiences through the use of social media channels and other tools - and how to organise those exciting ‘book signings’. Fame at last!

We will set up and register your details with the British Library and Nielsen Book Data Information Service which provides market leading data services to more than 100 countries worldwide. This will then enable us to arrange online accounts for you to sell your book via such websites as: WH Smith / Waterstones / Amazon / The Book Store / Foyles and many others.

After their book’s initial sales success, many of our clients will then call for reprints, because they need more stock. Others might want a second print run because they were slightly nervous about over-ordering at the outset, but were then so happy with what they got that they wanted more! In whichever category of authorship you are, Gibson Publishing can produce as many reprints as you want. Because we retain all your book’s files, minimal turn-around ‘re-printing’ comes at a fraction of the original cost. The ‘print’ button only has to be pressed again, and . . . whoosh! - however many you want!

Gibson Publishing has developed a close relationship with the UK’s two biggest book wholesalers and distributors – GARDNERS Books (who just coincidentally happen to be located with us down here in Sussex) and BERTRAMS, in Norwich. Yet another part of our service is to act on your behalf to ensure that these giants will take your book as a stock title, which enables them then to distribute it to retailers nationwide.

We can also advise you on costings and discount structures, matters that will need to be considered before selling your book. One of our experts will be happy to talk you through every aspect of both these essential requirements.
